Epoxy adhesive is one of the most widely used adhesives in many industries that has very high strength. This adhesive is a thermosetting polymer material with an extremely strong, durable and flexible structure that shows high resistance in various environmental conditions. Epoxy adhesives are basically composed of epoxy resin and hardener. Thus, various types of epoxy adhesives are used in various industries, including automotive, electronics, and construction, to create connections between internal and external facades, ceramics, tiles, and building materials. These adhesives have very high adhesive strength.
Epoxy adhesive has different types that are used to create connections between different surfaces, and for this reason, some of these adhesives are known as a versatile and strong adhesive.
Epoxy adhesive is usually a twin adhesive, water-resistant, and can be used on a variety of plastics, including polystyrene, acrylic, and fiberglass.
Types of epoxy adhesive:
- Fiberglass Epoxy Adhesive
Fiberglass epoxy adhesive is also a type of epoxy adhesive that is reinforced with glass fibers and has high resistance to pressure, impact, and heat, and is used for repairing fiberglass objects.
- Epoxy Plastic Glue
Epoxy plastic glue is produced in the form of a twin adhesive and is used to repair and bond plastic surfaces and objects. This type of glue has high strength and is used to connect plastic parts and containers and dries quickly in the open air. This glue is used to make tanks, plastic containers and connect plastic parts and can even act as an insulator.
- Epoxy Concrete Adhesive
Epoxy concrete adhesive is used to repair damaged concrete in structures such as bridges, piers, and generally structures that are under pressure. Epoxy concrete adhesive is used to strengthen concrete structures due to its special physical and chemical properties.
- Epoxy Stone adhesive
Epoxy stone adhesive is widely used in the construction industry and is used to bond and create connections between the interior and exterior of buildings, including ceramic tiles and metal or aluminum surfaces. Epoxy stone adhesive has high resistance and durability against moisture, heat and external environmental factors and creates strong connections.
- Metal Epoxy Adhesive
This adhesive can be used as an alternative to soldering, welding or fastening metals with bolts and nuts. Metal epoxy adhesive has adhesive properties on many metals such as iron, aluminum, brass, copper, steel and titanium and can connect the desired parts together in a short time.
- Glass Epoxy Adhesive
This type of adhesive is commonly used in jewelry making, glass repair, and bonding transparent materials such as acrylic and polycarbonate, as well as for grouting tiles and ceramics to create a beautiful appearance. This type of adhesive has features such as water resistance, heat resistance, and strong fixation ability on glass surfaces.
Important notes for using epoxy adhesives:
- This product is slightly toxic and a skin irritant; therefore, use work gloves to prevent contact with the skin.
- It is best to use this product outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep out of reach of children and at a temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.
- After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Do not use solvents or thinners. In case of contact with eyes, remove contact lenses, if present. Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 10 to 15 minutes, holding eyelids apart, and consult an ophthalmologist in severe cases.
- If swallowed, rinse mouth with plenty of water (only if person is conscious) and seek medical attention immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
