Polyester composite
In the stone industry, for the processing of slabs and construction stones, according to the fragility of the stones, different stages are performed in the processing of the stones. In the production of stones that have streaks, strengthening must be done to create the necessary strength for stone processing. For this purpose, various types of polymer resins, including unsaturated polyester resin, are used to composite the rock.
Through processes and adding materials to polyester resin, this resin turns into polyester mastic.

The following measures are taken for the polyester composite of stone coop :
First step:
First, it is better to cut the stone in a square shape, and for composite, we use coop mastic , so that we add 4-5 drops of cobalt as an accelerator for every 100 grams of resin and mix it well with the resin until it reaches a uniform state. After the mastic is combined with cobalt, we add 8 drops of acid (methyl ethyl ketone peroxide MEKp) as a hardener and curing agent and combine it. Be careful not to combine the acid directly with cobalt because the reaction is exothermic and dangerous . The composition of these materials is exothermic. Before applying mastic on the coop stone, surface preparation must be done so that the coop stone is cleaned from any dust with a towel and wind so that it is free of any pollution.

Second step:
After mixing the materials, a uniform layer of polyester mastic is spread on the stone with a spatula so that it covers the entire surface of the stone.

The third step:
In the next step, glass fibers are placed on the mastic cup, and the glass fibers of the coop mastic are put again with a spatula.

After 48 hours and complete curing of polyester mastic ( coop mastic ) on the stone, the polyester composite is ready.
