Amino Polyester Resin
Saturated polyester resin is a polymer that does not have any double or triple bonds in its main carbon chain. Therefore, there is no unsaturated factor in this polymer. On the other hand, unsaturated polyester resin is the most common type of resin and has double bonds in its original structure. This is the key difference between these two resins.
Cobalt naphthenate
Cobalt is a ferromagnetic metal with a specific gravity of 8.9. It has a Curie temperature of 1115 degrees Celsius and a magnetic moment of a magnet of 1.6–1.7 boron magneton per atom. The relative permeability of cobalt is two thirds of iron. Cobalt metal occurs as two crystallographic structures: hcp and fcc. The ideal transition temperature between hcp and fcc structures is 450 degrees Celsius, but in practice the energy difference between them is so small that the random average growth of the two is common.
Cobalt is a weak reducing metal and is protected from oxidation by a passive layer. This element is attacked by halogens and sulfur. Heating it in oxygen produces Co3O4, which loses oxygen at 900 degrees Celsius to cobalt(II) oxide, CoO. This metal reacts with fluorine (F2) at 520 K to produce CoF3; And with chlorine (Cl2), bromine (Br2) and iodine (I2), it produces equivalent binary halides. Even when heated, it does not react with hydrogen gas (H2) or nitrogen gas (N2) but reacts with boron, carbon, phosphorus, arsenic and sulfur. At normal temperatures, it reacts slowly with mineral acids and very slowly with moist air, but not with dry air.
Dibenzoyl peroxide
Erosyl
Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (acid)
An organic peroxide is an oily liquid and is highly explosive. Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide burns the skin severely and can cause eye damage or blindness. In the industry, it is used as a catalyst in baking unsaturated polyester resins, fiberglass, plastics, and in casting. For this purpose, ethyl methyl ketone peroxide is dissolved in dimethyl phthalate and diallyl phthalate to reduce the sensitivity of this material to shock and make it easy to use.
Non-amino unsaturated polyester resin R300
Styrene monomer
It is a combustible liquid and its steam processes an explosive dirham with air. Near its ignition, it is 1.1 and 1.6% by volume of styrene vapor in the air, and its emitting point is 32 degrees Celsius. Considering that its steam is heavier than air, this gas can travel a long distance to reach a source of embers and cause embers to return. To turn it off, water can be used as spray, CO2, chemical powder or foam. It should be seen that explosive organic peroxides can be formed during fire. Guard glasses and masks should be used during extinguishing operations.
